Ernesto was born in Monterrey, Mexico. At the age of 21, driven by a dream of becoming an actor, he travelled to Los Angeles and later to London, where he now lives and works. His first feature film appearance was as Lenny in ‘My Little Brother is a Vampire’ by Garnet Mae, a young Australian film director (Gorilla Works, 2002). Following his debut on the London stage as Tatar in ‘The Lower Depths’ by Maxim Gorky (Greenwich Playhouse, 2002), he was cast in supporting roles in several low budget independent British films, portraying Hispanic as well as other foreign characters.
Ernesto’s vibrant, versatile acting voice and excellent command of English has earned him dubbing roles in several feature films, including ‘Moussaka & Chips’, a British mainstream production directed by Danny Patrick (Empire Productions UK, 2005), in which he voice-acted the part of Theo, the main non-English (Greek) character, and most recently in ‘Goal’, the upcoming Hollywood production directed by Danny Cannon (Milkshake Films, 2005), in which he lent his voice to a number of Latin American characters (the drunkard, the airport passenger, the immigrant, the football fan, the TV soap actor).
Ernesto’s love for radio plays since his childhood inspires him to approach dubbing and voiceover parts with equal passion and commitment to other acting engagements.
Ernesto is a member of British Equity and is featured in the Spotlight (UK) casting directory.
