Greg Marston was born in the UK and emigrated to Australia aged 13. He started singing with various bands in 1977.
He began his career in radio broadcasting in 1979 and worked his way up the media ladder through seven stations in and around Western Australia, arriving at the zenith of his broadcasting career in 1989, being appointed Music Director of ABC Radio W.A.
Having voiced part-time since 1982 he went professional in 1986. He came back to the UK in 1992 and launched new (for the UK) format-driven radio. He was Station-Voice for over 30 stations across the UK from 1993 to 1997.
He then gave up broadcasting to consolidate as a voiceover, working from home using ISDN. He has been Station ID voice for many of the 300+ radio stations around the UK, including national station Classic FM.
Greg also finds time to sing with a jazz (swing) quartet (Sinatra, Nat King Cole, etc.) and a Sixties-Nineties pop/rock covers band. |
