The voice of Kevin Huffer was the first to be heard on the re-launched 1999 version of Radio Victory in Portsmouth. As well as being the presenter of the mid-morning show - he also was head of music and wrote many successful adverts for local businesses.
Prior to his appointment at the re-named Victory 107.4 and later, The Quay, Kevin was Station Manager at Delta FM 102, Alton. He was one of the front-line presenters - simulcasting his Drivetime sequence on a sister station.
After his time at Victory, BBC South were soon to see his potential. Currently he is a freelance presenter for BBC Radio Solent, having already presented Drivetime, stood in for Richard Cartridge, and the evening show that is simulcast over BBC Kent, SCR, Oxford, and Berkshire.
Kevin’s love affair with radio began back in 1980 with hospital radio in Chichester - he’s come a long way since those days and is unable to imagine a life far from the microphone.
But he has made it to the United States where he has moved with his family. |
