Nick Ross is one of the UK’s best known broadcasters. He presents a range of factual programmes, chiefly for the BBC, including Crimewatch UK and The Syndicate on BBC 1, and The Commission on Radio 4.
His credits include the eponymous programmes Nick Ross, an RTS award-nominated series of talk shows for BBC 2 (November and December 1999), Westminster with Nick Ross (television coverage of parliament and Whitehall, 1994-1997) for which he was a member of the Downing Street lobby, and the Radio 4 programme Call Nick Ross (1986-1997), for which he was named Broadcaster of the Year in 1997. In 1999 he was awarded a best documentary prize for a controversial and biographical history of the troubles in Northern Ireland, We Shall Overcome, for BBC TV.
He presents the road safety series So You Think You Know How to Drive on BBC 1. In addition to Crimewatch and the quiz series The Syndicate, other TV programmes include the antidote to holiday programmes, Destination Nightmares, a bank holiday special called Gridlock, and a repeat of Have I Got News for You! Nick began his career as a reporter covering the early years of the troubles in Northern Ireland, then presented radio news programmes including the World at One, and has since presented a wide sweep of the BBC’s journalism in news, current affairs, politics, crime and consumer issues.
He is an experienced conference moderator and has chaired events for leading global companies as well as for the UK government and the European Commission. |
