Phillip Molyneux is an accomplished actor and TV presenter. He has twenty years’ experience in radio and presents the regional programme Showtime – a twice-weekly show in the south west of England.
Phillip has been a member of British Actors’ Equity since he started his career in repertory at Amersham with Rosa De Leon, and at Windsor with John Counsell. He has travelled all over the world performing a plethora of character roles in many musicals and plays.
On the stage, Phillip’s musical roles include: Commander George Brackett in South Pacific; the bigoted Edouard Dindon in La Cage aux Folles; the pathetic Tin Man in The Wizard of Oz; Sir Edward Ramsey in The King and I; Doc in West Side Story; Mr. Brownlow in Oliver; Shalford in Half a Sixpence; the wily President Roosevelt in Annie; and Professor Henry Higgins in My Fair Lady.
On television, he has appeared in: The House of Elliot, playing the unfortunate film producer, Solly Sugermann; Between the Lines, as Sergeant Tony Brown; and Facing South, as the feisty Crown Solicitor. Phillip has also appeared in Facing South, Trainer, Downtown Lagos, and Sam Saturday. Most recently he was seen as Arnie Buyer in the Ruth Rendall thriller, The Secret House of Death, and Crown Prosecutor in the ill-fated Call Red for Thames Television.
As a voiceover, Phillip is in demand from television companies such as Meridian, Anglia, Thames, and The Discovery Channel – and many local production companies for corporate productions, including IBM and Southern Water. |
