Vivienne Parry has a very familiar voice.
She writes and presents a wide range of programmes for Radio 4 including the multi award winning series ‘Am I normal’, and ‘Inside the Ethics Committee’ as well as a number of one off documentaries on science and medicine. She is a frequent guest and pundit for Five Live and many TV and radio shows.
A scientist by training, Vivienne is also a prolific writer, contributing a weekly column to the Times Body & Soul section and also features to a wide range of newspapers including the Times, Mail on Sunday and Guardian, and magazines such as First, Saga and Good Housekeeping (where she is science editor). Her latest book ‘The Truth about Hormones’ was shortlisted for the 2006 Aventis Science Prize.
Vivienne’s past life includes presenting Tomorrow’s World, reporting for Panorama, being the main woman columnist for the News of the World and working with the Princess of Wales for 12 years.
She is a sought after host for conferences, facilitating at major events including the G8 pandemic flu exercise.
She undertakes some media training depending on her availability.
In one of her many other lives, Vivienne opens her garden under the National Garden Scheme and makes a lot of cakes.
