Rupa has a clear, husky voice, which she can modulate to sound sexy for commercials and promos, engaging and businesslike for narrations, or just plain friendly and warm. Professional, quality work assured.
She speaks English, Hindi, Tamil and Kannada. Her native languages are Hindi and Tamil. Rupa speaks English fluently.
She has been doing voiceovers for 6 years and was initially instructed by Khodus Wadia, a prominent voiceover in Mumbai. When she moved to the US, she took a voiceover course at NYU - instructed by Alice Elliott.
As a voice talent Rupa has done voiceovers for Continental Airlines, The Travel Channel, and AMC and commercials for leading brands like Kelloggs, Aquafresh, Huggies, Garnier, Pepsi, Pilsbury, etc. apart from corporate narrations in India as well as in the US.
She was also the channel voice of Star Plus - the most popular TV channel in India.
On-camera experience with corporate films of companies in the pharmaceutical industry and multi-level marketing.
Experienced in radio too (Imaginasian Radio - NYC). Hosted the Desi show 'Total timepass'
Rupa can sing and is presently training in Indian Carnatic music.
